What is The Chop Shop?

The Chop Shop is a new bar/venue/ event center/haven for artist, musicians, mechanics, martial artists, lovers, and any and all other creative types or those who like to be around creative types. Located 1 block off of N. Davidson on 35th St in the NoDa art district it is a fun and creative environment built from re-purposed auto parts, electrical panels, old factory machinery and all types of odd and creative pieces: all in an old textile recycling plant. There is also an inside window in to their workshop where you might catch an artist or mechanic at work or possibly a dancer or creative side piece for a performance or band.

What’s inside The Chop Shop?

The Chop Shop is a grass roots work in progress that was not funded by a “big bank roll”, but put together by a few hard working, dedicated, regular blue collar types. It has an unexpected welcoming and home-y feel to be such a large room, Over 5000 sq. feet of bar space with a spacious multi-level stage, room for over 400 patrons and an awesome atmosphere for shows as well as just hanging out to play pool, darts, foosball, cornhole or any of the other bar games available.

What Events Are At The Chop Shop?

The Chop Shop has and will be hosting all types of entertainment/events: Aerial Acrobatics, Comedy, Dance, Theater, Almost Every Type of Music, Private Parties, Photo and film shoots, Tastings, Outdoor Shows, Weddings, DJ’s, Car Clubs and the list goes on. Keep your eye on this growing scene in NoDa.
